The scope of the project involved renovating the existing Inpatient Pharmacy and relocating the Outpatient Pharmacy to an adjacent space. By consolidating the pharmacies into one area, inefficiencies in staffing and material management will be improved.

The renovation also addressed several deficiencies in each pharmacy related to the VA standards for pharmacies. Strict security requirements were met including a secure perimeter around the pharmacy work areas to protect the employees and prevent unauthorized access.

The program for this project included administrative offices, waiting rooms, patient education rooms, work spaces, secured drug vaults, and an IV Admixture clean room.
