The Cardiology and Cardiac Cath Lab Unit, which includes four echo rooms, one T.E.E. room, one tilt table / treadmill, one holter pacemaker room, and two cardiac catherization labs, was relocated to be in closer proximity to the Emergency Department. The project combines in-patient and out-patient functions into a space for efficiency, yet maintains a divided flow and separate entries for gowned-patient privacy.

This project was also designed for possible future renovations: the Emergency Department will have the capability to expand into Cardiology, creating a Cardiac Observation Unit within the Emergency Department. The design also enables the capability to add a third catherization lab along the sterile corridor.
