C-SECTION OPERATING ROOM

This interior renovation project provided Good Samaritan Maternity Department a desired second Emergency C-Section Operating Room. This project included renovations and expansions of the sterile core areas, a renovated scrub area, and modifications to the physician changing room. The design of the Operating room was a collaborative effort, including design staff, anesthesiologists, physicians, and nurses. Simplicity of patient transportation, staff circulation within the operating room, and ease of access to the infant resuscitation area were key components guiding the design and layout of the operating room, which is equipped with overhead supported Berchtold Equipment, Anesthesia, and Surgical Lighting booms.

The spaces were designed to meet the Ohio Department of Health regulations and AIA Guidelines.
