EIGHTH STREET LOFTS
WAREHOUSE CONVERSION

The Eighth Street Lofts project consisted of the renovation and remodeling of an 80-year old 6-story warehouse. The facility is divided into three separate areas: the first floor is subdivided into commercial office space and an apartment elevator lobby, the second through sixth floors have mid- to high-end loft apartments, and the basement floor serves as a community meeting area, laundry, fitness, and storage area.

The existing facility required extensive site and field verification of existing conditions. Interior finish selections and details were critical to the success of the conversion. All new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sprinkler systems were also required.

PFB Architects received an Award of Excellence for Historic Preservation from the Cincinnati Preservation Association for this project.
