In order to meet current and projected demand, and to further the mission, strategic, and financial goals of the Alexian Brothers, the hospital needed to be expanded and renovated.

This new addition addresses demand for outpatient clinical space to accommodate groups, increases the facility's flexibility to allocate beds to different inpatient populations as needed, creates more private rooms, improves patient safety, eliminates overcrowding, and provides additional parking.

Specifically, the project's additions and renovations include a new lobby, chapel, community room, a geriatric unit with 22 beds, a 10 child and 12 adolescent unit, along with outpatient facilities. Additionally, support functions such as a medical records office, dining rooms, day rooms, offices, admitting, registration, and a new pharmacy are included.
